Lately, I have been having a fashion identity crisis. Maybe crisis is a little dramatic. Let’s call it a fashion disconnect.
I spend a lot of time crafting my Pinterest boards. I have one for everything. They’re small lists and to the point. They’re filled with only the things I really find visually pleasing. Every outfit on the ‘wardrobe inspo’ board is something I would happily wear to work or just out and about. The board updates constantly. Things get deleted and things get added.
I know what I want to look like. But for some reason, somewhere between the Pinterest board and the closet, there is a giant disconnect.
I don’t dress like that board. I want to. But for some reason, I do not. And I do not know why I do not. I spend so much time crafting these boards but then ignore my own advice. Fast fashion is my vice. I’m a sucker for sales and buy something quick and cheap from the display shelf.
