I know I just introduced you all to my SSAP, and how I do not buy palettes, but holy damn did I make an exception for this one. I know I said you can dupe most any shadow in a palette, but this entire palette was an exception. First off, there are only four shades, and secondly, they are all the most unique shades I have ever come across with the most magnificent formula around.
I know there are other palette dupes, and that holographic shades are all the rage right now, but this exact palette was what I’ve been looking for. I have a sweet spot for duochrome, and shadows who’s job is literally to duochrome EVERYTHING is what I live for. So, like I said, I made the exception, and I have no regrets.
What really sold me on this palette were these two looks (this one and this one) from my all-time makeup idol, Linda Hallberg. Every look she creates from editorial to every day are awe-inspiring. I’ve done these two looks literally every day since I got this palette, and I’ve only just begun.
Here she is in all of her glory.
And, the most lack-luster looking pans you’ll ever see. I actually saw this in person in Sephora and thought “meh” until I swatched it.
So far, I LOVE this. I’ve used it for highlight and eyeshadow. I’ve also put it on top of my eyeliner. I was MOST impressed with the fact that I put it in my inner corner before work one morning and it made it all the way to the evening. Amazing.
Bonus: here’s me being a holographic disco ball tonight. It’s my eyebrow highlight, cheek highlight, inner corner highlight and, not pictured, a badass shoulder highlight. I love this so much.
