Today is nation banana day (or something like that, whatever, it’s all made up anyway). I just so happened to have done some jazzy banana nails last week that are personally, one of my all time favorite nail art projects.
So let’s do some banana nails together today!
You can start with a clear base, a white base, really any base color you want. I went with iridescent because Wonderworld has been on my wishlist for quite some time now and I’m trying to pretend I don’t need this and already have a dupe.
I digress. So start with whatever base color you want. Once that dries down, make your banana curves. For this, I thought it was cool to make a bunch of small bananas per nail rather than one or two big ones.
For this, I used one of my thicker Winstonia brushes. There are two coats of yellow here because the first go-around was not as opaque as expected.
Then, outline all of the yellow shapes with the most precise brush you have.
After that, make a curved line, following the curvature of the banana shape, down the middle of every banana (or as close to the middle as you can get).
Finish it off with a small dot at each end of the banana. Nothing too big, so here I would use either the detail brush or the smallest dotting tool you have.
And that’s it! BANANAS! (If you don’t spell it out every time you see B A N A N A S, then you’re wild).
See ya next time!!!!
